We are in a historic neighborhood and have had plumbing problems for 30 years. Alexander Plumbing is the best we have ever experienced, by far. Do not go anywhere else. Especially in the north end. City of Elgin is no help at all. Period.

We called Alexander Plumbing first thing in the morning during a polar vortex. Patrick and Paul came out right away to look at the pipe and water heater. They provided a quote, information on all the parts and equipment, and showed up on time to do the work. Every time someone from Alexander Plumbing entered our home, they where polite, respectful, and very tidy - always cleaning up after their work. We where so happy with the service, we have already requested they come back for some other projects we need to get done. We where searching for the best plumber in Elgin, and we found them exactly when we needed them.

I had a plumbing issue in my condo and Alexander plumbing came out right away and took care of the issue. They are very professional and efficient. Will recommend them to all my friends & family & will definitely use them again!

We have an old house in Elgin we purchased in March 2020. The secondary sewer line i believe its called backed up shortly after purchase. We got it unclogged ourselves. 6 months later it backs up again. Im like... better call a professional. Why does this keep happening. We these people are the greatest!!! Took time on the phone to ask questions, explain what was going on and why, give me an estimate of the cost. Came out within 30 minutes of calling. Paul and Adam were awesome. Friendly and courteous.. Explained what they were doing. And made sure it was all taken care of before leaving. I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing service. When I called about replacing our water heater, Alexander Plumbing was very responsive and helpful over the phone. I spoke with Pat. The price estimate was very reasonable and even beat some others I had called around to. He was also willing to squeeze the repair in the same day, which makes a difference when facing ice cold showers! I would call them again, especially in an emergency. I would also recommend this company to friends and family.
